Our passion is our mission - to help every student in the world love learning!

Overview:

  • Prodigy is scaling quickly, and we’re looking for an Agile Director to help us scale our Agile practices along with us. You’ll lead the Agile Group, and coach teams and individuals at all levels who are true believers in Agile principles, and help them tackle the unique problems and opportunities that come with rapid growth, such as managing teams across the globe and choosing the right project/delivery methodology for the job. As the leader of the Agile Guild, you’ll create a long-term vision of Agility at Prodigy, and drive that vision through coaching opportunities and other initiatives.

Your Impact:

  • Lead an area of the Agile Guild:
  • Envision a long-range plan that will see Agility scale at Prodigy, and see it realized
  • Drive organizational change through initiatives like squad health checks
  • Organize regular gatherings of Agile Guild members and Agile enthusiasts, with an emphasis on knowledge-sharing and collaboration on Guild initiatives
  • Coach teams in the implementation of a variety of Agile project methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP) through discussion, hands-on workshops, and other techniques
  • Train leadership and teams in Disciplined Agile
  • Act as mentor to Scrum Masters, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to mentor each other in valuable partnership
  • Publish and monitor metrics concerning team throughput (e.g. on-time delivery), to inform and influence initiatives
  • Help company leadership iterate on company-wide processes (e.g. performance reviews), with the aim of making these processes leaner, more scalable, and more useful

Who You Are:

  • Significant experience (five or more years) coaching teams and leadership in Agile methodologies, ideally in a web or software development environment
  • A technical background in web or software development, or otherwise a sophisticated understanding of product development and delivery in this context
  • Experience in project management, Agile or otherwise
  • An exceptional talent for coaching individuals and teams; the ability to ask the right questions and to provide specific and timely feedback, seeking to encourage individuals/teams to take ownership of their growth
  • Strong communication skills; a communication style that resonates with and inspires listeners, and an effective use of Agile/project management terminology to foster a common understanding of these concepts
  • A firm belief in "people before process," where the latter has value, but the former has more; an emphasis on humanizing management techniques, and the constant evaluation of whether processes truly support people and solve their problems
  • Experience using metrics/OKRs to measure the impact of organizational change initiatives
  • A devotion to continuous self-improvement; a voracious appetite for learning new things, and a strong presence in the greater Agile community
