Prodigy’s Power Up Contest (the “Contest”)
Prodigy Education Inc. o/a Prodigy Game (the “Company”)

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. Applicable local, provincial, state and federal laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.

By entering the Contest, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Company and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements.

1. ELIGIBILITY

Contest is open to all residents of  1) the fifty (50) states of the United States and District of Columbia and 2) Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 18 years of age or older at the Contest opening date. You must be 18 years of age or older and have a Prodigy Teacher account “Account Portal”. If you don’t have a Prodigy Teacher account, you can create one for free.

Visit www.prodigygame.com and click “Login” in the top right corner of the page to either log in to your existing account or continue to click “Sign up” in the top right of the page to create a new Teacher account. Employees of the Company, as well as such employee’s immediate family (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof, are not eligible to enter this Contest.

2. CONTEST OVERVIEW AND PERIOD

The Contest consists of one (1) grand prize drawing “Grand Prize Drawing” and ten (10) weekly prize drawings “Weekly Prize Drawing”. The Contest is open from 12:01 a.m. on Aug 1, 2022, EDT to 11:59 p.m. on Oct 9, 2022, EDT (“Contest Period”). Entries (defined below) earned will be reset weekly (entries for the weekly draw expire at the end of the week) and entered into each “Weekly Prize Drawing” during the Contest Period. Entries (defined below) earned will be entered into the “Grand Prize Drawing” at the end of the Contest Period. The Web Site server’s clock is the official clock for this Contest. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding on all matters related to the Contest.

To enter the Grand Prize Drawing and/or Weekly Prize Drawing, log into your Account Portal, follow the Contest on-screen prompts and confirm your intention to participate in the Contest by clicking the “Enter contest” button on the Account Portal, then complete the eligible activities for Prodigy Math (see below) during that Contest period. Eligible activities completed before the “Enter contest” button is clicked will be included if completed within the Contest Period (for the Weekly Prize Drawing, during that week).

Note: The Contest is applicable to Prodigy Math only and not to Prodigy English game.

3. HOW TO ENTER THE WEEKLY PRIZE DRAWING

To be eligible for the Weekly Prize Drawing in any week, you must log in to your Account Portal at least once in that week and complete the following activity during that week to receive a maximum of one (1) base entry into that Weekly Prize Drawing:

  • Students have answered a total of 50 questions in the Prodigy Math game.


Note:
Weekly Prize Drawing entries expire at the end of each week and are not carried over from week to week.  You must complete the defined activity each week in order to be entered into the Weekly Prize Drawing for that week.

For each Weekly Prize Drawing, the contest period will be from 12:01 a.m. on Monday to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday (e.g. Week 1 (12:01 a.m. on Aug 1, 2022 EDT to 11:59 p.m. on Aug 7, 2022 EDT).  The contest period period for weeks 2 to 10 will be for the same time period (Monday to Sunday).

Entries will be based on activities completed from all active classes associated with that teacher.. The maximum number of entries a teacher can receive is one entry for each Weekly Prize Drawing. All entries must be received during the contest period for that week. Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to Company’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

4. HOW TO ENTER THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING

Activities completed for the Weekly Prize Drawing may create an eligible entry for the Grand Prize Drawing (see below). To enter the Grand Prize Drawing, you must log in to your Account Portal and complete all of the following activities with at least one class and one student added within the Contest Period (12:01 a.m. on Aug 1, 2022 EDT to 11:59 p.m. on Oct 9, 2022 EDT) to receive a maximum of one (1) base entry into the Contest for the Grand Prize:

  • Created at least 2 Prodigy Math classroom challenges, and 
  • Invited at least one parent to connect, and 
  • Students answered at least 300 questions in Prodigy Math game


Teachers will receive entries based on activities completed from all active classes associated with that teacher. All entries must be received during the Contest Period. Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to Company’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

5. PROCEDURE FOR AWARDING PRIZES

Weekly Prize Drawing:

Starting August 9, 2022 to October 11, 2022 at 11:59 pm, every Tuesday at 10:00 am EDT, a random draw for the Weekly Prize Drawing will be conducted by the Company from all eligible entries during the week leading up to the draw. The ten (10) selected contestants will be contacted by email by the following Wednesday 5:00 pm EDT. The winners should claim their prize through Rybbon as instructed by the Company by no later than three (3) business days after the date the prize email from Rybbon is sent. If a winner cannot be reached within three days following the first attempt of contact, declines the prize, or fails to return the required release form, the prize shall be forfeited and the Company has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner.

Grand Prize Drawing:

On October 11, 2022 at 10:00 am EDT, a random draw for the Grand Prize Drawing will be conducted by the Company from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The four (4) selected contestants will be contacted by email by October 12, 2022 by 5:00 pm EDT. The winners should claim their prize as instructed by the Company by no later than five (5) business days after the date they are initially contacted. If a winner cannot be reached within five days following the first attempt of contact, declines the prize, or fails to return the required release form, the prize shall be forfeited and the Company has the right, at its sole discretion, to select another winner.

The winners will be contacted by e-mail to coordinate delivery of the prize:

  • VISA gift card prize will be emailed through Rybbon as instructed by the Company and should be claimed by no later than 5 days after the prize email from Rybbon is sent. 
  • Restaurant or food delivery gift card from one of: UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub, Subway, Panera Bread or Domino’s Pizzas. Prodigy Education is not affiliated with or sponsored by any of these brands. This will be emailed through Rybbon and should be claimed as instructed by the Company by no later than 5 days after the prize email from Rybbon is sent. If, based on location, winners are not able to access any of these retail providers or Rybbon does not provide gift cards for these retail providers, a VISA gift card USD will be substituted. 
  • Class t-shirts (up to 15 pieces) will be coordinated with each winner to be shipped to one identified address after confirmation for distribution. 
  • Prodigy Math level-up memberships (up to 15) will be emailed to the winners for distribution.


An eligible participant can win more than one Weekly Prize Drawing and only one Grand Prize Drawing. 

6. DESCRIPTION OF PRIZE(S)

Prizes

Ten (10) winners will receive the following prize for their classroom/class as the Weekly Prize Drawing:


Total prize value for the Weekly Prize Drawings:  USD $1,000

Four (4) winners will receive the following prize for their classroom/class as the Grand Prize Drawing with an approximate value of a combined USD $900 each:

  • Prodigy branded T-shirts for the class (up to 15 students) with an approximate value of USD $250
  • 2 months Prodigy’s Math Level-Up memberships for the class (up to 15 students) with value of USD $300
  • One (1) USD $200 gift card from: UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub, Subway, Panera Bread or Domino’s Pizzas (If based on location, winners cannot access or Rybbon does not provide gift card for any of these retailers, a VISA gift card USD of equivalent value will be substituted.)
  • One (1) Visa® Reward USD gift card with value of USD $150


Total approximate prize value for the Grand Prize Drawing: USD $3,600 

7. GENERAL RULES

7.1. To be declared a winner, the selected contestant must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question (included in the release form referred to in section 7.2.

7.2. Each winner shall sign a release declaring their eligibility as stipulated in Section 2 of these rules; agreeing that their name may be used for advertising purposes related to this Contest free of charge; and releasing the Company as well as its respective directors, officers and employees (the “Contest Parties”) from all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this Contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize. The release will only be accepted if all of the other material (Google Form responses) have been provided.

7.3. The prize shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred. No substitutions will be allowed. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited.

7.4. If the prize cannot be awarded as described in these rules, the Company reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value, as determined in its sole discretion.

7.5. Refusal to accept the prize releases the Contest Parties from any obligation toward the winner.

7.6. If a contestant makes any false statement, (s)he will be automatically disqualified from the Contest.

7.7. The Contest Parties assume no liability for any loss, damage or injury, including without limitation: (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries; (ii) loss, theft or damage to software or computer or telephone data, including any breach of privacy; (iii) fraudulent calls; (iv) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason including mistaken addresses on mail or e-mail; technical, computer or telephone malfunctions or other problems with computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, or software; congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing; (v) damage to any person’s computer, including as a result of playing or downloading any material relating to the Contest; (vi) any delay or inability to act resulting from an event or situation beyond their control, including a strike, lockout or other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the organizations and businesses whose services are used to administer this Contest; or (vii) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during shipping.

7.8. The Company reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, the Company reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

7.9. All personal information, such as name and contact information, is collected by the Company for the purposes of administering this Contest and shall be governed under the company’s existing Privacy Policy. By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by the Company’s existing Privacy Policy. 7.10. If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that (s)he is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server.

7.11. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, using any robotic, automatic programmed method that artificially increases the odds of winning or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the Company. The Company is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.

7.12.  This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Twitter.  By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release Facebook and Twitter from any responsibility or obligation associated with this contest.

7.13. The Company reserves the right to amend the Contest rules or to terminate the Contest at any time without any liability to any contestant. Any amendments to these Contest rules will be posted on the Contest Rules page.

7.14. By entering, you agree to abide by the Contest rules and the decisions of the Company, which decisions are final and binding on all contestants.
