Perceptions of "Vibe Checks" in the Classroom

Across classrooms, teachers are trying something new to connect with students on a deeper level – quick, consistent emotional check-ins, known as "vibe checks." These moments give students space to share how they're feeling, opening the door to stronger relationships, better learning, and earlier intervention. To learn more about this trend, we surveyed 274 teachers and 734 parents about their experiences with and perceptions of classroom vibe checks. The findings reveal how widespread these practices have become, what's working best, and what support teachers still need to make them more effective.
