Prodigy English is aligned to Grades 1-6 Common Core English standards and shows kids skills across the reading and language threads based on our English learning algorithm.
As your child progresses through the educational content, Prodigy adjusts the difficulty of the questions presented, ranging from the child's initially placed grade to questions and content that are appropriate based on their learning progress.
Yes. We are working hard on bringing your favorite Level Up and Ultimate Parent features to Prodigy English. However, for now we only support dashboard functionality and membership management. Additional Parent features will be coming soon to the Parent product.
Prodigy English is a practice tool for children to reinforce English concepts. When a child gets a question right, they are shown more difficult questions in the future, when a child gets a question wrong, they are shown questions of similar or reduced difficulty. Prodigy’s adaptive algorithm allows each child and student to always be making progress in their learning journey.
Yes. Prodigy English offers a variety of accessibility features to make the game fun for everyone. Children can opt to have each question read out aloud or adjust the size of the font and visuals on mobile devices to allow for maximum learning efficiency!
When playing the game, no personal information, or inappropriate language can be shared or seen by any other user. Prodigy Math & Science and Prodigy English have privacy and user protection features built into the game - player to player communications in game are limited to a list of pre-selected and child-friendly quotes and phrases.

We have partnered with an independent privacy expert (iKeepSafe) to ensure full compliance with all federal privacy legislation (like FERPA and COPPA) as well as state legislation (like SOPIPA or AB1584 in California).
Canceling a Prodigy Membership is easy, and can be done at any time. If you wish to cancel a membership, log into your Parent account, and go to the Memberships page.
